The problem with others like Normal Adblock or Adblock plus is they became sellouts and if an advert company is willing to pay up a little they let some ads slip for a while until you update your block lists. They slip even when you have "allow non-obtrusive advertisements" disabled. And considering most of the other adblockers are built off of adblock or adblock plus, that means they still do the cpu or ram hogging that came with it. Ublock is built from the ground up and uses different algorithms for blocking ads, and thats what makes it have very little of an impact on ram or cpu usage compared to other adblockers. |

All you need to do is change the addon format and sometimes change browser-specific functions. |
