I did not know this, I might be confusing one subject with another but If I'm not mistaken aren't HTML5 extensions a thing?

You might be right considering Edge is a Universal Modern App.

Heres a snippet from an explanation of Universal Apps:

--- Quote ---You can create UWP apps using the programming languages you're most familiar with, like C# or Visual Basic with XAML, JavaScript with HTML, or C++ with DirectX and/or Extensible Application Markup Language (XAML). You can even write components in one language and use them in an app that's written in another language.

UWP apps use the Windows Runtime, a native API built into the operating system. This API is implemented in C++ and supported in C#, Visual Basic, C++, and JavaScript in a way that feels natural for each language.

Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 provides a UWP app template for each language that lets you create a single project for all devices. When your work is finished, you can produce an app package and submit it to the Windows Store from within Visual Studio to get your app out to customers on any Windows 10 device.

--- End quote ---
Yeah I'm not sure anymore.

So I lost my windows 10 install due to some pretty embarrassing series of events that i would like to not say. I installed ubuntu and went with that for a week, and I want to switch back to windows 10.
My question is, since Im using an alienware laptop, it comes with an OEM key. Do I need the original Windows CD that came with my computer to use the key, or will a standard windows install ISO use it? I dont understand much of OEM, so help would be nice

But im not sure.

Dont blame me, I was pretty impressionable when I got it. Either way, all in all until the incident I described it worked well

1:  not everyone picks their own computer
2:  not everyone knows the same about companies as you
3:  some prefer it regardless of information
4:  a good deal is enough to buy a product sometimes regardless of company history
