Wait, why would you prioritize 16Gb's of ram over a newer mobo and CPU?
16Gb is p useless unless you work with editing software
But skylake is the future fam, get one.
I regret it so much I bought a super expensive 1150 instead of cheaping a bit out so I can upgrade to 1151 later.
Eh ill go work at mcdonalds I guess

LGA1155 has pretty much either disappeared from retail or goes for absurd prices.
You can find some good prices on eBay or whatever. Haswell and Skylake are overrated anyways. After overclocking, there isn't much of a performance difference for gaming.

Isnt skylake almost 1/3rd faster then the 4th generation?

What about DDR4 support?

At its base clock speed, probably. If you're overclocking an Ivy Bridge processor, the performance difference shrinks a lot, and it's not worth the price of a new cpu+mobo+DDR4.
