Probably, unless laptops hard drives don't use normal cables. I haven't ever bothered to look.

Indeed, it would be.
Ensure you have the proper connectors and enough power to sustain that card in your system if you were to purchase it, though.

Modern laptop HDD's do use standard SATA plugs. I'm using one in a desktop at home.
