My ATI Radeon 6780 is able to mine while playing games while still mining at a reasonable rate and at a good framerate.
A good miner, like BitMinter is able to pull this off perfectly at the correct settings.
For example, my settings are...

Ahh ok. My mistake. No wonder my card is always at 100% while bitmining then haha.

Guesstimating you'd make around 0.016 - 0.018 BTC a day (Which right now that's 0.79 USD a day)

that would be negative profit right? since the laptop consumes more power cost than the earnings
