I use an amd fx-8120. 3.1Ghz with 8 cores. It's a great CPU IMO.

Is there anyway to reformat a laptop with a corrupted lubuntu? It will always boot up to lubuntu no matter what I cant change it in bios. When its on the loading screen it looks like normal until you press any screen it'll go black then go back to normal. and after a while it freezes on loading screen. It is apparently missing some driver with bus in the name.

You could put in the installation disc/usb, and choose to reformat your hard drive in the installation.

It doesn't boot up to the installation usb. ( I use a Sandisk cruizer. No matter what it will always boot up to Lubuntu.

That's an odd problem. You could try taking out the hard drive, buying a cheap enclosure to turn it into an external, then formatting it from a friends house, then putting it back into the computer?

I'm not sure if you have fixed your problem, but Linux has some really nice tools for formatting drives.
