[MEGATHREAD] Personal Computer - Updated builds thanks to Logical Increments
Perlin Noise:
I have an AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHz 1GB edition and I can run shaders at max at 60FPS with 22,000+ bricks
MegaScientifical:
When I go through the list, I have no clue which to get. There's ones marked Bare Drive, and I'm not sure if I have wires to connect these things or not. Here's some from the 2 TB list:
* Western Digital Red WD20EFRX 2TB IntelliPower SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
* Western Digital WD AV-GP WD20EURS 2TB SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive - OEM
* Seagate Barracuda STBD2000101 2TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Retail kit
I'm looking for one maxing $119, 2 TB, that is reliable as mentioned.
Momentum:
picked up a HD 7770 1GB from MSI today.
Titanium Man:
someone once told me that you need a sata 6gb/s to record hd video, that 3gb/s sata is too slow, is that true?

no, because hard drives don't even reach the speed of sata 2 much less sata 3
