I probably am the most handicapped person when it comes to trying to get Windows and Linux to coexist with each other. I just forgeted up my Windows installation by accidentally leaving the Windows volume mounted, hibernating, and attempting to boot Windows while Linux was still in hibernation. Windows greeted me with a HAL_INITIALIZATION_FAILURE after I hibernated Linux. I was immediately infuriated as I had just installed Vista SP2 on Saturday, and it worked after the service pack was installed. I now have to reinstall Windows for the fourth time in a year on the same computer. loving. Windows. --- Quote from: AfterShock on April 01, 2013, 08:02:25 PM ---You'll need a higher budget if you want to actually game. --- End quote --- Yeah, I think the best $300 might get you in a laptop is a Pentium Dual-Core and Intel HD Graphics 3000 with a 250GB HDD. |

$500 is about as cheap as a low end dedicated card will be in the laptop world. |

I recently got a new computer and I was wondering, can I add some parts from my old computer and put it in my new computer? Both computers were bought already built, however both computers apparently can be expanded on as there is an "expansion bay" which appears to be a cd drive opening, but just a plate blocking it. I'm not very knowledgeable about computers physically, I have never dealt with repairing or building an entire computer. I was thinking I could put a CD drive in my computer, and perhaps it's hard drive too, if I can have multiple ones. Also, the recovery drive thing is another smaller hard drive, right? |
