So long as you have the proper cables and connectors, you can.
--- Quote from: Crispy_ on April 02, 2013, 09:27:26 AM ---Both computers were bought already built, however both computers apparently can be expanded on as there is an "expansion bay" which appears to be a cd drive opening, but just a plate blocking it.

Yeah, most prebuilts have a free 5.25" drive bay.
--- Quote from: Crispy_ on April 02, 2013, 09:27:26 AM ---I was thinking I could put a CD drive in my computer, and perhaps it's hard drive too, if I can have multiple ones.

You don't really need multiple DVD/CD drives in a computer unless you're into cloning disks. Multiple hard drives are possible, as long as you have the cables and connectors necessary.

--- End quote ---
Common misconception, that's a different partition on the same drive. Windows lists it as a different drive because it's assigned a drive letter.

Would it be okay if I deleted that recovery stuff? What is it mainly used for?
Just a note, I have windows 8 if that's important.

If you didn't get a Windows 8 installation DVD with your computer, don't delete the recovery partition. It's used for restoring the OS to it's factory image.

Ah, so I'll leave it alone.
I got my old cd drive out of my old computer. I looked inside my newer one and it appears to have different connections...?
The older one has a gray flappy rubber thing and the new one just has plugs.
