Then I would not take his word. He might be running at a lower resolution, like someone said earlier, or running lower settings.

the power flickered a few hours ago and it cut off my computer
I cut it back on and everything started to run extremely slow. Anyone know why? I shut it down and let it sit for an hour or so and cut it back on, and still, the same thing happens. It takes literally like 5 minutes to load a single webpage, and steam refuses to start. It just stays at the log in screen... I'm confused on why it's this slow :u

So, I still have no idea how to fix this. Googled it tons of times and I keep getting the same thing: "check your drivers! check your ram!!" I have done both. Drivers are good, RAM is fine. It's not "fried" or anything, lol. I've no idea what to do next. Is it a hardware issue? If so, how do I know what piece of hardware it is that needs to be replaced?

Morpheus:
So i re-applied my thermal paste and changed my voltage so i get 1.052  at 100% load at 4.2 ghz. As it turns out, my overclock yesterday was not as stable as i thought and by changing the voltage it made it work better. I heard that anything under 1.2-1.3 on an i5 3570k is safe so at the moment, i think my overclock is in the safe zone. Hell, when i ran stock, voltage got to 1.048. Can someone confirm if the voltage is safe as a second opinion. I asked this question yesterday, but that was with a different voltage.
Mr.jacksaunt:
Processors aren't just going to quit like that.
Just yesterday I tried mine at 1.2 and it worked.

So i still have a ton of room to overclock (considering my temps stay down), right?
