Any of you guys know anything about Turbo Boost? From what I understand it's kind of like overclocking, it's available in some Intel processors.

I have a Quad-core Intel i5-2310 processor. It gets 2.9Ghz, but with Turbo Boost it's supposed to go up to 3.2.

I know nothing about doing this, apart from the fact that I have to enable it through my motherboard's BIOS menu. So I assume that means it will always be on? Could this cause overheating? Any of you use this before? What should I know before using it?

For my mobo there is a little switch in the corner of it that enables my i7-2600 to go up to like 4.1GHz. I don't know about yours though. There's probably a BIOS switch too. And yes it can cause overheating, so a stock cooler may not cut it (thats why I have a 212 Cooler Master :>>>).
