if you haven't even accounted for windows then i recommend just save your money, anything below this i can't say is worth it

I want a few more opinions guys, is this the best or at least really close to the best I could get for $400? Or should I save up to $500 or so?

Ninja: I have my Windows 7 OS already bought and right here on my desk, so that isn't a problem.

Save up another $30-$50 and you can get an i3-4130, which would allow you to upgrade up through the entire broadwell series in the future. A full $100 saved could get you 8gb ram and a faster hard drive on top of the cpu upgrade. Also, the "case" link in jerome's build is another gpu, lol.

The second one, I would put a extra $50 in and just get the 760.
if it didn't want to get the second one which one would be better?

Would this be oc friendly with an fx 6300?

I can't find this loving anywhere, how do I install Java on windows 8.1? Every time I try to install it it tells me to close a bunch a programs so I do and when I do that it crashes windows, what the forget is happening.

what does it tell you to close?

have you tried turning it off and on again?

what does it tell you to close?
iTunes, EVGA Precision X, etc. And I just installed it without a crash it LOOKS like. I don't think it's the 64bit version tho..

I don't think it matters. Either one is fine. The only time I've seen 64-bit Java being used is that "High" setting for view distance in Minecraft or something.

Wow, I wish I knew more about what I am doing here. It looks like I'm going to save up for at least the i3-4130 and I might as well go for adding another $100. I didn't even notice the case one, I could've sworn it was an actual case before. I'll look into a case then, unless someone could do it faster than I could. I've no idea what really matters in a case except for space and air-flow.

Has anyone with a GTX 670 ever experienced this issue:

My GTX 670 4GB FTW+ keeps going from 810MHz idle to 1005MHz and then 3 seconds later it goes back down.

Is this bad for my video card? And how can I make it stop?

Specs:

CPU: i7-4770K - Overclocked to 4.2GHz.
RAM: 16GB 1600MHz.
GPU: GTX 670 4GB FTW+

Gonna be reinstalling Windows soon onto my SSD. Yay speediness

Most modern GPU's and CPU's have automatic clock-speed adjustment to save energy and it pisses me off because sometimes I swear that in the time it takes to adjust the clock speed I lose a few frames
