Guys, I want to upgrade my motherboard, RAM (DDR2 to DDR3), CPU, and case. I have a budget of about $250. I'm looking at AMD with an aftermarket cooler to fit my budget but I hear so many complaints about it. What do you think?

iirc amd cpu's dont come with stock cooler so you might need one.

Bad news.

Its still happening.

Thats how I pick out my gpus, you just need to find the right price for it.

Those are synthetic benchmarks, you want to use gaming benchmarks whenever possible as synthetic benchmarks taken from benchmarking software are not accurate representations of video card performance in real world scenarios

Big update:

I also ordered my Core i5-4590 :D

All I need left is
  • Graphics card
  • Keyboard and mouse
  • Monitor

surprised it isn't up in flames
idk if you can see beyond what i'm assuming is your fanboy point of view, but pretty much all companies have had their fair share of architectures or models that overheat. intel has had pentiums notorious for overheating, qualcomm has had a snapdragon processor notorious for overheating, and the same applies for nvidia and amd. it's not just a single brand that will overheat, all brands have their fair share of bad apples. you'll be a lot better off if you accept that not all products will be perfect, regardless of the maker.

Sooo....
Remember when I complained about high CPU temperatures?

How does that even happen?!?

How does that even happen?!?

Things happen when you keep your dust collection next to your computer

In other news, according to what I read and the + - front panel header and all that jazz, for me the black & white wires are all negative/ground and the arrows are positive. The issue comes with the text orienation. Does it matter or not?
All of them seems to follow suit with the cable orientation and all, but then there is the Reset one where if you put the positive where it's meant to be, it sends the ground to a dummy one, implying the text facing the same way

How does that even happen?!?
When you have a negative airflow it can create a vacuum and pull in air from notches 'n stuff in the case, wich does not have dust filters.
Or just not maintaining and cleaning your pc
