Clubstep give up already please its stupid

Since we don't know which Xeon you're talking about, I'd say the i5.
Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor

What

Considering if he even wants a Xeon in the range of not being the same as an i5 then he has to spend at least 300 on it plus a server grade mobo to even take advantage of rendering 1 second faster on said cpu. Xeons will render better when you dual socket then but that costs a lot of money.
Double post I dont give a stuff because phones suck

Mobo is fine
I think
A xeon is basicly an i7 without the iGPU and the $100 more

C-C-C-C-COMBOB REAKER

Please dont kill me but I decided to get the AMD FX-6300 for my gaming and streaming rig.
Honestly looking at benchmarks the FPS difference is very, very low and even higher at games wich utilise more cores.
Even on FarCry 4 (wich is the stufftiest port ever made) has an FPS difference of 5 tops over the i5-4460.

What's the difference between a CPU and a GPU

why don't we just use GPUs if they're like a billion times better than any CPU

I need to do physics calculations and rendering and high-poly sculpting

Because they're not, they're made to do things that CPU's can't but not things that CPU's can

I'm going to buy a GPU that's less powerful than my CPU just because upgrading the GPU is a lot easier than the CPU.

Its litteraly the same unless you have a different socket and have to buy a different mobo?

Last time I built a PC the video card just plugged into the motherboard. The CPU I had to delicately lay down with thermal paste and put the heatsink on top of it.

2 extra steps wowzers.
Just buy good parts at the start.

I just wish I knew what to prioritize in a 3D/2D art computer. I need to be able to draw ~12 million tris somewhat smoothely for sculpting. My current computer runs that number at 6 fps. I don't know what CPUs and GPUs to choose without going overboard. And on top of that it would be great to have a computer that's almost quiet during idle, like the one I have right now.

a good CPU for rendering I guess. If you aren't going to really use it for games or whatever an AMD will do.

espio you don't know what you're talking about
stop

I have 30% of an idea what I am talking about.
Shut up

My pc dosent even have a disk tray.
