WAC helis in particular

R turns on rotors
Q is throttle up, Z is throttle down
Use mouse to fly or WASD, or both.

If R does not throttle up all the way, on the WAC menu click the check box "double tick rate" I believe

For WAC helicopters you can change the keybinds in the settings tab of the spawn menu.

 how do I get GMOD to stop downloading addons every time I boot it?

That is a weird Workshop bug.
Do this.
Uninstall them.
Then install them.

Yeah same. i use the keyboard only set up since arma 2 has forgeted up my way of mouse controlled flight forever.

I want to launch Gmod and try the heli again, but steam won't launch gmod...
