Why does steam take so long to launch a game?

So, lately Steam has taken forever to launch games (5 - 10 minutes).
Usually I have to restart Steam for it to launch a game.

Any suggestions?

Try freeing up some space on your hard drive. It could just be you have a lot of crap that's slowing down your machine.

Also, try other games. It may just be that you have a lot of mods/etc. for a game and that's slowing it down.

Okay, I have like 32GB of Hard drive left, I can free up some space I think.

All games do this.

Sometimes it does this and other times it doesn't
