what are lucid dreams like?
whenever i had one i always got up immediately
Normally when I realize I'm dreaming I just do a bunch of stupid stuff.
I remember back in the early puberty days when I had lucid dreams in which I ran around and forgeted everything.
Still never had a wet dream though, I drain the reserves enough to prevent that.
Normally I realize I'm dreaming after something bad happens and then I like reset the dream. Something I often think when I'm dreaming is that I know if something goes wrong I will just wake up at the start of the day again. not always waking up in real life either, just waking up in the dream for a second chance.
I often have dreams in which I'm some kind of action hero, saving damsels in distress and such. I recall several dreams in which I'll know whats going to happen and try to warn people. "Wait stop, this has all happened before, if you do this x will happen!"
Sometimes this applies to not just the same dream resetting itself in one night, but with recurring dreams over weeks, months or years.
I've actually had dreams recently that I remember having when I was a little kid.
One dream I have been having for the past 4-5 years is a dream in which i go to a summer camp that turns out to be some kind of crazy death contest thing. One significant part of the dream is a girl that looks a lot like
Missy Peregrym (she was on the show Reaper which was airing around the first time I had this dream). I end up falling in love with her or some bullstuff and we team up to try and stay alive. I also have some crazy party animal type of friend who is kinda of like Stiffler in American Pie, but less of an ass.
One of the games in the contest is some crazy race on these big like yacht type boats with wheels. It's a downhill race with a bunch of traps and stuff. The first time I had the dream the girl was on a different boat with her friend or something and then they hit a land mine and blew up. The dream reset at that point and the second time around I convince her to ride on my boat (this happens before the whole love interest bit of the dream develops, at least on her part) and I just have to beg her not to ride that boat. When the boat she would have been on explodes she understands and then starts to depend on me for safety and all that macho man stuff.
The dream has recurred tons of times, sometimes just replaying those events, and sometimes continuing on. Hopefully it'll happen tonight, now that I've been thinking about it a lot.
I actually have a lot of weird summer camp turns into more than just a summer camp dreams, which is strange because I've never gone to summer camp.
