Exactly, it's just weird. Fionna actually looks somewhat like a real person. The whole art style of Fionna & Cake just seem really different, but that might just be me. Though the humor and the way the story is told is very different. Though it make's sense since it's the Ice King.

Many of those old painting from people like Leanardo Da Vinci had plump girls. Apparently back then plump girls were most preferred because they were padded.

This guy is a blacksmith for movies and shows and stuff, he built a pretty badass Adventure Time sword. He also build's some other cool stuff.
