Steam Box finally created.
Tomcat:
If they're selling this for more than 300 bucks they're doing consoles wrong.

Looks like the OP isn't the official Valve one.

I like how the main picture at the top is Team Fortress 2, a game which is already on consoles. I understand how it isn't the same, my point is it is technically a multi-platform console game as well. xD That could have chosen a PC+Steam only game.

Oh hey, an interview with Gabe Newell, including many bits about the Steam Box. Particular interesting part: I guess it will work as a sort of Sonos for games, you will be able to stream from a pc, as well as run games from it.
Nasoa:
Will you be able to run games that aren't on steam with it?

Non-steam games?
Considering you can just run those normally on your PC or console, and that the supposed Steam-Box is optimized for Steam, probably not.
You're asking to run standard PC games on a mini-PC/console specifically made to run Steam and Steam-based (most likely only Valve games at this point) games.
You might as well ask Valve to put together a normal size gaming PC, slap some steam logo stickers on it, and install Windows 7 64-bit with the steam logo as the wallpaper.
