get that prebrush rinse going

I get lazy too so I understand that but I don't understand what you mean by it getting gross.

Maybe he is implying blood?

When I clicked on this, I expected you to say that you can't brush cause they fall out when you do lol.

Maybe he is implying blood?
If that is the case:
Brush a little, rinse/spit, more toothpaste, brush, rinse/spit, repeat until blood stops showing up.

If that is the case:

Or:
Stop being a pusillanimous individual and keep brushing.

Thatd be ironic considering OP has blood special interest
and not he, she*

And wtf I love brushing my teeth so they feel clean.

If your gums do bleed when you brush your teeth (OP never said, people are just speculating) you can try being more gentle and going slowly. If that doesn't help you can get softer toothbrushes too.

me after I brush, I hate that metallic/strange aftertaste, even with mouthwash. my gums do bleed.

I don't suffer from gingivitis

Its just so gross cleaning my mouth
