Bulletstorm won't download windows live update

Bulletstorm won't install a windows live update, I download it, put in my key, log into windows live, then it asks me to download a windows live update, but then it says it can't or whatever and comes up with error 0x80070002

I can't play the game offline and if I refuse to download this update it takes me back to the start screen.

Can someone please help?
