This means that the server is dead. You can never join servers like that.

For your hosting problem, a router restart might help.

--- Quote ---UPnP was not modified during my troubleshooting. However, UPnP itself does not work on our network because we use business-class equipment that does not respond to UPnP requests.  UPnP is fine for home users, but it’s an extreme security risk on business networks.

So uh, I guess UPnP was never enabled.

What if UDP port 28000 was opened?

ok i'm hosting right now and someone just joined, when looking up the server in the list i can see it with --- ping and in LAN it says 31 ping.

i guess the problem disappeared?

(also i enabled upnp so maybe that was the problem)

They were having a network problem the past few days, and then they fixed it, and I'm afraid they might have disabled upnp along the way.

Do you have LAN wall outlets? If so would connecting that lan cable with a router and enable UPnP work or no?

I don't have my own router. That's a little too much money/trouble for fixing a problem that may magically unfix itself the way it magically worked before.

--- Quote ---Nothing changed that affects network security, so I’m not sure why it would have stopped working all of a sudden.  UPnP shouldn’t have ever worked, either, so I’m not sure how it got you on before.
