How to improve vehicle-vehicle collision physics

This would be something for Badspot and co. to implement.

As is, vehicle-to-vehicle collisions are screwy as all hell.  Cars get stuck on each other, go flying, and all sorts of other bad things.  What to do?  Simple.  Don't make vehicle-to-vehicle collisions rely on complex physics.  Just have them sort of "bump" away from each other in opposite directions.  If you need an example, just look at any Mario Kart game.

good idea

Apparently Rotondo looked at this topic, and he tells me that it isn't a solution.  Something to do with this using physics, I don't really get it myself.  Anyone?

Isaac Fox:

I'll bet if vehicle physics were to be "improved", we wouldn't be able to do tricks anymore such as loops.

Ideally, this wouldn't affect regular vehicle physics at all, only vehicle-on-vehicle collisions.
