Legodude77:
My 7750 will run blockland on max, so if you can't afford a 7770 then buy a 7750.

Both = pointless if you're just gaming.

It's sort of wasting sticks, ur just going to have them somewhere in a box. That's why I gave him 1 stick of 8GB, upgrading will be easier, he just needs to buy another stick and bam done, he won't have to worry about storing extra sticks in a safe place.

1. I highly doubt he'd be rendering video, using maya or exporting in premier pro.
2. 1 stick of 8GB? I highly doubt you actually know anything about what you're trying to pitch here, I highly doubt anyone who is even thinking of buying a 7770 has a single-channel motherboard

1. You're handicapped, I was giving examples of who would need more than 4GB.
2. Again youre handicapped, 1 stick of 8GB is correct, whats wrong with 1 stick of 8GB DDR3 RAM? I have 1 stick of 8GB DDR3 RAM and have 3 slots left in my motherboard, meaning my PC can support 32gb max, 8gb in each slot. The PC I suggested to him only had two slots and supported 16GB max, meaning to max out the memory you would need to buy two 8GB sticks, you can go with less such as 6GB (2x3GB)or 4(2x2GB) but then when its upgrading time you will have to remove a stick or two. Youre the one that doesnt knownshat your talking about or misinterpreted my examples wrong because I stated how someone would have to remove two sticks so there would be room for more upgrading, just that sentence tells you that I am not trying to say there is only 1 slot in the whole mobo, derp.

Good god you are loving handicapped, single-channel doesn't mean it only has one slot for RAM

Also, the channels are just a mode you can set the ram in. If you just have one stick then it will run in single channel which is fine, if you have 2 sticks and put them in the correct slots then it wil enable dual channel, which is faster compared to one slot or if we're to have 2 sticks and not in dual channel mode, there's nothing wrong with not having it. Don't post stuff acting like you know stuff.
