Actually, I think Blockland would work well on the Wii U, especially if it used the gamepad to the full extent.
The gamepad could be used to play the game or use menus. And perhaps while the gamepad was in first person, the TV could be in third person (and vice versa). It could be toggleable in the options, though.

The Wii U's CPU wouldn't be able to handle it.
