What in the hell is a Teleglitch?
This is what a teleglitch is

Teleglitch is a rouge-like top-down shooter, with science fiction and horror parts mangled into it. It gives crippling punishment for doing stupid, dumb mistakes, the game is permadeath and you can restart at level three when you beat level five. The game is very minimalistic in graphics.

I find the best way to play is to enable the zoom that changes the zoom level of the camera, it is very disorienting and strange, which enhances the gameplay.

This is still on the first page of TIGsource, I saw it there a bit ago. It's neat.

i'm assuming the big laser jellyfish thing in the trailer is either indestructible or a boss

not a rogue-like. the game runs in real time and isn't based upon a tiled movement system. I'd liken it to playing Doom from the map screen with aiming like Alien Swarm.

was pretty fun, got to the 2nd part of level one and i got mobbed by 30+ of them at once, they chased me for a bit and i ran through a door and it was a dead end :(

Never been able to beat the third level. By that time I have almost no ammo or health kits.

Holy crap this game is loads of fun to play. Although sometimes the controls mess me up. Like if you hit space when paused you automatically go back to level 1 because that's the default selection. I did this like 3 times, luckily I was only on level 1 but it was still annoying.

I also love the secret zones. Got a sticky grenade launcher which was super useful. And can guns are JESUS CHRIST powerful. They're like boomsticks filled with nails. Absurd.
