Motion blur wouldn't be possible without default code changes.

But how many people actually know how to work with shaders? They seem to be written differently than what you see in .cs files

Yes, they are different; they're written in GLSL. If you have a basic understanding of GLSL, you should be able to write different shaders for Blockland.

I'm assuming not, but does anyone know if it's possible to rip some of Minecraft's GLSL shaders and implement them into Blockland?
