If you read, ArsTechnica was referring to a protocol that Steam uses at well which allows you to initialize a game or join a server by clicking on a link; that's the browser exploit they are referring to. TO EVERYONE READING: You do not need to launch through a shortcut. Origin is fine. It's not the fact that I have anything to hide, its the fact EA gave themselves the power to go through your stuff. It's against the law to break into EA's building and search through their files, but they can look through your pc for pirated software. |
