Yeah, I'm with you on that.
I'm more annoyed by people constantly complaining about those things than the actual things.
And also people who complain about there being a lack of good servers, and never deciding to make one themselves.
And then they use the excuse "Oh, but everyone will just go to the bad servers because they're popular."
Well, they only get popular because they're being hosted.
Just host your own server with something that interests you, maybe get a friend on there to speed up the rate of people joining (People prefer servers with more people in them than just the host) and carry on from there.
Moaning on the forums isn't going to get more servers that you like available.
I've had 4 types of servers get populated.
One where I was just sitting there building a project and a bunch of people joined and jumped around and stuff. Got most players on the list. (I have no idea why people came into a server with like, no add-ons, even most of the defaults disabled)
A TDM where you have to destroy the enemy's giant cube thing. (Poorly coded, while it worked flawlessly, you have to set it up right)
A server where everyone has a printer and a paint can, and are stuck in a room filled with print bricks and trust checks disabled. (took 1 console line to set up this one!)
And DRPG. (Though, DRPG servers usually get populated. no surprise.)
None of these were 'what's popular this month!!!' like knife TDMs and speedkarts. People just happened to come and once they come, more will come. It helps if you get a few friends on first, because no stranger likes to be on a 2 person server.
