Crash Bash demo on Spyro 3 Error

So, you all remember Spyro 3's hidden demo of Crash Bash, right? If I do the combination on the main menu (L1-R2-Square), it takes me to a black screen. IM unsure if this is loading time, or if the game crashed, but since its an old disk, i think that may be it. It has a gigantic wait on that black screen, and I've never seen past it if I try this code.
