I doubt that would lag the server.

Leaving a trace running definitely slows down the server, it's an engine/OS issue. You'll see this in any hosting capacity really.

I've been getting this problem constantly with my server. It does not seem to be linked to anything either, because it happens randomly. I host from my laptop.

Well I'm not a any sort of scripter but I took a look out of curiosity anyways. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but try just disabling some of your most recently downloaded or updated add-ons. Most of the problems I have on BL are because of buggy mods, and with all those errors you're getting in the conosle, I think there's a good chance it's because of one of those mods.
