It's just a tip to get more of an audience, don't really gotta listen to it.

Well on certain games, if you made the game with shadows on you may expect others to play with them on and you might add something that hidden in the shadows. If someone turns off shadows they'll be able to see the hidden items and stuff.

Again, they are just tips so. yeah
