Also just build your own computer, I can build one that is 250$ and it will out perform any console like the Xbox 360 or the PS3. Also I have no clue where you heard that alienware was good, its horrible they literally rip people off by selling faulty computers most of will not even turn on or fans may be broken right out of the box. |

So don't say we're in 'denile'. We just know what we're talking about. We all know integrated graphics cards are generally stufftier, especially if they're years old. Integrated graphics cards aren't made to render a stuffload of features for tens of thousands of objects. They're made just because they're required for the display to work. The only reason they're as good as they are is because we can. |

Because they have to make all the parts small and make sure the thing doesn't melt. Yeah, there are some nice laptops out there, but clearly if it has an intel graphics card, it's not something he paid a lot of money for. The price you pay for portability! |

My list of... problems that need to be addressed. * No marketing - the game is spread primarily by word of mouth. The last time I saw an ad for Blockland I was still using myspace. * The user interface looks disgusting - I found a gui replacer, got it working, and never looked back. * The forum has a drama section - This really shouldn't exist, those who make drama topics should simply be banned for a few days. If you want to gossip about other users go to another forum. I realize this may expose those users to sketchy websites, but as it is, the drama section pollutes the rest of the forum. It's like letting a dog sit on the couch when it's just you around, then expecting it to stay off when company comes over. The behavior carries. In this case the difference between the two situations is, replying to a topic in the drama section, and replying to a topic in general discussion, and it is just too small. * No tutorial on how to make add-ons so that they don't break the game. - I wish Badspot would just make his own scripting tutorial. Blockland is practically its own engine at this point, and he's the only one who really has a list of all of the resources within the game. What we can and cannot do. Until we have something like that, I fear the quality of my add-ons will never surpass that of a kid tinkering around in the basement with a roll of duct tape, a few sticks, and a large pile of contraptions made by other people. Those other contraptions also being made of duct-tape and dead tree matter. |
