Well, Airsoft could be relatively inexspensive if you get a mid-end gun, a mask, and a vest for around ~$100. Of course, 96% of those guns would have plastic bodies, but you may find a metal/fm or two.

The Bar-10 might be the better option in this case.
Of course, you'd really want to do long range sniping with a bipod with one of these things.
