nailed down the concept of not immediately believing what the media tells you

You shouldn't immediately believe what the media says?

If you truly care about the story, do your research and find the actual truth instead of having anchormen or journalists read a script to you.

Please tell me you aren't one of these conspiracy theorists who has nailed down the concept of not immediately believing what the media tells you, but also pins 9/11 on the government based on pure speculation.
because everyone who believes the media bends storied to be more interesting are conspitribals?

I am not. I have not said anywhere that the media is completely false and should not be trusted. My statement is aimed at those who would not rationally think for themselves before believing something someone tells them. There is quite possibly two sides of the story.

Please don't tell me you're one of those people who go off the rails if someone criticizes the media.

I wasn't being presumptuous. I was genuinely just asking you a question.

I would argue that the majority of people who try and find the 'actual truth' are terrible detectives who end up creating wild speculations that make them look crazy.

What I posted was merely a statement, I do not wish to start an argument.

I always treat people like they are being presumptuous, it's an agitating characteristic of mine.

it's a good thing you're on the internet

just read that article, if all that was said by the fisherman is true then the conservation officer is a friend for at least not using his pepper spray.

If a dog is going to attack me, I'm not gonna fiddle around with pepper spray. That's coming from a serious animal lover. I don't think the article gives enough accurate info to really judge any party, though.

at least the dog wouldve survived.
anyway the best thing to do if a dog comes to investigate you is to stand still and let it investigate to make sure your friendly

um what
do you even
have you ever even had a dog?
for one thing, a dog isn't just going to "investigate" (if it seems like it's going to attack, which would be it barking/growling/etc. investigation behavior is walking up and smelling you)
standing still is definitely not a thing to do when a dog, or any animal for that matter, is being aggressive
neither is running, since basically all species of dogs can outrun you easily

my dad has, if you act in a calm way when a dog approaches you, it is FAR less likely to attack you and i have proof of this

the article is really biased. chances are, the officer was not just being some cruel heartless jerk, and the dog was clearly not in an investigative mood
their whole goal is the preservation of animals, and I don't think he wanted to kill the dog at all

you know they're trained, right? p sure that the appropriate responses to dogs is covered in the majority of law enforcement training
