Hello, all! I'm interested in learning what people think makes scary video games the most scary, so I put together a survey to try to answer just a few questions I had on my mind. Take it here: http://obsurvey.com/S2.aspx?id=20eb3622-5831-4739-aa4f-1c149855abde View the results so far here: http://obsurvey.com/r.aspx?id=20EB3622-5831-4739-AA4F-1C149855ABDE |

Took it, by your question where it was talking about abstract things, did you mean like in metro2033 with the dark ones and that final level? |

Metro 2033 seems to be a game with pretty realistic graphics overall, and the final level seems to lean more to what I would consider "realistic", even if it isn't really that much like anything you would find in reality, as it's quite detailed. Imscared would be a better example of "abstract". Another way to put it would be Amnesia is "realistic", Story of the Blanks is "abstract" |

Oh, i see. Another thing that i think makes a game scary is when you start off with someone else helping you, but then they die and you're alone. It's not as scary in my opinion just starting alone, because when you start with someone you're almost relying on them. |
