doubt it, it seems like their typing styles are a bit different? like for one thing hothat "Types like This, just capitalizing the First Letters of random Words" and hotspot seems to type more normally but whatever, you never know
plus, hotspot posted yesterday, hothat registered february 9 and has been posting since then

anyway, it could be that he made an account a long time ago and forgot about it, made a new account, and then remembered that he made an account already but couldn't remember the name? idk
i made an account a fairly long time ago and then was unable to use the forums for a few years so when i came back i just made a new account since i couldn't remember my old one's password(plus it used my old name)
i remembered the name of it and all, but not everyone has a good memory

i could be completely wrong but i'm just throwing theories out here

i swear to god you're a parallel universe me or something
that same exact thing happened to me, hence why my IGN now is FaceDavid; would usually go by David656 or David656ness,and I had a forum account David656ness, but I forgot the password, so I used the name *FacePalm* for whatever reason
however nobody knew David656ness was *Facepalm* on the forums because they had no connection so I switched to FaceDavid to make a little more obvious as to who I am.
