External GPU's are extremely expensive and very unresourceful.
Highly suggest against using one, but head on over to the Off-Topic computer megathread and we and other guys will try our best to find you a budget card so you can run shaders.

1. Badspot already stated that Intel's integrated graphics are absolute stuff and that he doesn't have the resources to make an optimized enough version of shaders so that your toaster can run it.
2. If you don't like it, nobody's forcing you to play. What's been done's been done.
