Well, I'm lucky I have my dog. She's a Mexican French Bulldog, but now I'm talking about my dog and not yours.

Also, your parents do not know proper dog training if they won't let you tap it or hit it. When dogs are naughty, you gently hit them on the nose. Keep on doing that, and it'll be fine.
