Portal 2 Not Starting

For some reason when i start Portal 2 it doesn't have the usual little starting up window on steam. Then it shows up in the processes in the task manager and then disappears.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try laucnhing it using the exe in your steam folder thing (steamapps etc. in program files)

Do you have a firewall?
If so check to see if its blocking it. I know some firewalls are super paranoid about everything, and does things like that.

Ok, unblocked it from my fire wall. Reinstalled. Verified Game Cache. Restarted my computer. Tried the local files. Ran as admin.

Still it refuses to work.
