no really don't do this
in most cases it breaks your capabilities of server hosting
but for some people it's broken their launcher too, making it impossible play the game.
restarting, verifying integrity, reinstalling etc. does not fix it so it all lies on the devs.

i was talking about starbound with my physics teacher about starbound bc he got it the day the preorder was available and before i could say much he said "Congratulations, your character was just wiped"
