Okay nvm.
But they could've atleast warned us.

The ship wipe is quite unexpected and unpleasant
Part of me wants to just regather materials with my old character, but the rest of me wants to just start over
If the next character wipe isn't too far off (e.g. that "last wipe" they mentioned to implement a better update system) I might just wait it out
