Honestly then I'd recommend that you just make it a different color that doesn't change with player pref because it doesn't look good.

have you tried emoting via arrow keys
protip: don't forget with the lights or you'll make emotes look like they just appear out of nowhere
the dome is the biggest offender - just paint the top part of his skull that black under-the-eyes color (or the alt color, the dark purple one) so you can properly detail it and keep emotes intact
same for the 4th thing, fill in black and leave lights alone
