Noooooo, you have to open the .PAK fie using CMD.
From CMD run the unpacker provided with the game.

So i havent played in awhile is there anything new and cool in the game now?
The game lost its luster after i realized it would take forever for me to get slightly better gear and planet hopping was getting dull

oh well i haven't tried modding so i don't know what filetypes you encounter in the process, whoops
never heard of a .pak file either, bleh
