He's asking for more specific genres from what I can read.

"until they stop moving" isn't a requirement for something to be an FPS, only first person perspective and shooting, also, saying it's literally impossible to make an mmorpgrtsfpsflight simulator is like saying it's impossible to make chocolate cookie dough icecream. I don't think anyone will have issues if people stopped calling things FPSs and described them based on something else other than "you shoot in first person."

Shell:

very possible and easy to make chocolate cookie dough ice cream but that is clearly not your point so ill ignore that

after rereading, i see what you actually mean and it will likely only lead to complications by classifying games that way because fps, rpg, etc are vague because they refer to a large genre of games and having a bunch of subdivisions for an fps instead of just an fps is unneeded and allows for little exploration when looking for games of a specific genre.

sorry if there are any mistakes, foruming on phones is impossible radda radda

fred da kiko:

The thing is that FPS is based on a style of presentation and a single action, while RPG is based on the way in which you play the game. This ends up making the FPS genre so diverse that many of the games have very little in common, making it unreliable.
