Is Far Cry 2 worth it?

I've been looking at Far Cry 2 and I'm kind of impressed, I really love the vehicle and the nice sand box feel.

It's a nice game but it gets a bit repetitive. All the outposts you liberate are occupied when you return to them so you have to liberate them every time you come through one.

it's far cry 3 without the creativity or quality stealth, and basically its only redeeming feature was the mini-map.

to add on to this
be prepared to have to switch to the gunner seat and repair your vehicle at least 5 times while driving around
