If BL wasn't pay-to-play any longer, roughly how many players would we have?
Bisjac:
could just create new set of IDs ONLY for free player's try time.
like start the ID numbers up at a billion for them lol
we wouldnt ever reach that normally so they wont get in the way. and its easy to never need to reuse one.
Magnusbon:
if Blockland was free it would be squashed ruined and mangled by the majority of people on it there would be grief troll and spam everything (there already is sadly)
but i fear that just like any other f2p game it would have a store where you buy hats and enhancements and that would ruin the whole game.

Make them be "Guest#####"
or something like that. So when you start up blockland and no activation key is in it would just say "Guest12345"
Bisjac:
we could do free through (that dosnt really earn)
with rtb hosting the bulk of the decent addons. with the rating and accepting system there.
the online servers may not be complete crap if you joined rtb only games.
Dglider:
Blockland isn't pay-to-play. Not in the online gaming sense.
So please stop saying that.
But if Blockland did become a FTP game, I think the userbase would increase dramatically. Then it would drop dramatically as Badspot runs out of money and can no longer pay for the master server.
