Author Topic: OnExist Event (Has this been done yet?)  (Read 1295 times)

All I'm asking for is an OnExist event. It's useful for when you don't want to activate things (Like brickext) every time you load bricks for it to work.
Also, has this been done yet? If so link me.

what?
give us a better descrption of it's function.

maybe, OnBrickLoad?
or OnBrickAppear?

He's talking about an event that activates when a brick is created, or loaded i guess.

It's an event that is activated as soon as the event request is sent. It's always on. The only beforehand activation is making the event. This is useful in cases where you need bricktext/something else event related every time you load something.

forget, let me give you a better example than that.

Okay, so say you want some bricktext as a message for everyone that goes on your server.
So, you event it to show the bricktext when the brick is activated.
But, you don't want to activate it every time you load the bricks because you are lazy/forgetful (like me) so you just want it to automatically do it whenever the brick is loaded.

Yeah.

Name all the bricks that you want activated when a server is open or loaded, then make an activator brick that fires a relay, or sets the events, on the named bricks.

The whole point of this addon is for it being for lazy people.
