Blockland mod market system?

The main problem is this system wouldn't be sustainable in Blockland. It's inconvenient to most of the players and, if they could buy, the revenue wouldn't be enough to justify the work.

I actually agree, that at Blocklands current state it wouldn't be sustainable. My thinking is that Blockland, if it got onto steam, would grow pretty quickly in its user base :].
-Thanks to all those who supported, and to those who actually gave real counter arguments :].

No, it couldn't, since RTB is pretty much worthless without the network effect (something it would probably lose ASAP, especially in BL, if he started charging).
What is the mod manager if nobody uploads any add-ons?
What is the server preferences manager if no add-ons support it?
What is RTB Connect without users?

I think if RTB were to make money, it would be off of ether getting paid by Blockland, or by selling ad space.

obviously everyone has money to randomly throw out their star fish to simply join a server!

If a lot of effort was put into it, I'm sure it'd be worth something?

yea except indy games that cost five bucks have tons of lines of coding and development behind them.

nah your wrong. Whats the point in paying for a mini steam if it doesnt even get used. its designed to be free and its not worth a buck. Accepting donations in exchange for an icon or something is better because you arent forcing people to pay to use the addon.
