Souls Series General [Demon Souls, Dark Souls] - It took this long for a topic?

I was walking up the tower to the first boss, breaking every barrel along the way for fun.
Suddenly, a loving blue glowing toad popped out of the barrels. I chased it, trying to kill it, but it vanished before I could.
WHAT WAS THAT
just died to the taurus demon because he wouldn't move his ass after jumping on him from the tower
killed him
getting the drakesword now
god dammit i just got invaded

That's a crystal lizard.
When you kill it you get 2 twinkling titanite and sometimes other titanite.
don't get Drakesword, it's bad and it's a crutch

Too late, but I haven't advanced in the game any since I've gotten it so I might ditch it. It's pretty hypocritical to be complaining about being given OP weapons at the start, then going and getting one myself.
Concerning the lizard, someone I summoned killed it for me :l

haha I guess it is. And they're easy to kill and always at set points so don't worry about it x)

bumping this because i beat dark souls last night. used the elite knight set, a +15 long sword, the silver knight shield, and a lighting spear/BK great axe as my secondary. was really fun, ended the final fight w/ solaire
